Come and join us for an opportunity to meet with other breastfeeding mothers and to share your own experiences. Beverly Viscusi , our International Board Certified Lactation Consultant will be on hand to moderate, answer questions and provide personalized care. Potential topics to be discussed include:
- Managing the first few weeks of your baby's life
- Pumping and storing milk
- Managing siblings
- Returning to work
- Breast concerns
We will discuss how to to manage a sleepy baby, grazing baby, milk supply issues, weight loss, and taking care of yourself!
We will discuss reasons for pumping, how and when to pump, equipment used, safe storage of milk, how and when to introduce a bottle to the baby.
You will learn strategies to balance demands of breastfeeding while managing active siblings.
Going back to work will be easier knowing how to maintain an adequate milk supply, how to get the time and privacy to pump, and more.
You will gain more understanding of breast health issues, latching techniques, positioning baby to enhance comfort and how the patterns of infant feeding change over time.
The group will meet in our office every first and third thursday of each month. All are welcome, you do not need to be a patient in our office to attend. Registration is suggested, not required. There will be a $15 fee. Please call our office for more information.
We look forward to seeing you!!
